DGM offers a “Whack-N-Stack” (unit conversions) program for mono / floor units. This process turns single printing units with roll stands under them into a single unit for adding color. With turning single units into 2, 3, or 4 high color units, you will increase color capability and achieve better register quality while reducing waste. DGM can utilize your single printing units or supply the units needed for your next project.
A standard “Whack-N-Stack” takes the unit as close to an original stack unit configuration as possible. After the roll stand is cut off and machined the unit receives standard cross members with stop stations, new unit to unit belt drives, and unit register. Full thickness legs are used on both operator and gear sides for stability.
While DGM does your next “Whack-N-Stack” project consider other options available. A unit audit can help determine if a complete rebuild or selective repairs need to be made. Complete tear down for clean and paint is also an option. We can add pneumatics, motorized register, remote ink, and motorized compensators.
DGM does several “Whack-N-Stack” projects a year with several recently done for Wick Communications group.
“DGM is my premier parts and service provider. Wick Communications has done several reconditioning Whack-N-Stack projects with DGM and all have been performed seamlessly. Their service technicians do a great job and are very knowledgeable.,” says Scott Green, Director of Production at Wick Communications.
